Training Period:
. $850 per week during training
Post Training:
. Transition to Commission-Based Salary Structure:
. $353.60 weekly base salary
. 8% commission on sales over $2,000 once route is established
Responsibilities
As a Route Sales Delivery Driver, your primary duties will be:
. City Deliveries: Deliver and transport bakery items to customers in the Des Moines, IA, area.
. Customer Service: Develop positive customer relations by making timely deliveries and offering superb service.
. Sales Growth: Recognize opportunities for sales volume increase and profit maximization.
. Route Management: Manage delivery timetables efficiently to deliver customer satisfaction.
. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to company policies, local traffic regulations, and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
. Product Handling: load and unload bakery products, maintaining product quality and order accuracy.
. Record Keeping: Keep accurate sales records, delivery records, and customer transactions.
. Home Every Night: Unlike long-distance truck driving jobs, this job lets you come home every night.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
In order to qualify for the Route Sales Delivery Driver role, applicants should have the following requirements:
Experience:
2+ years direct store delivery, sales, or retail (not necessary but preferred).
Age Requirement:
At least 21 years of age.
Driver’s License:
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Basic math and computer skills:
Proficient with simple sales computations and electronic record-keeping.
Drug and background screening:
Must undergo a drug test and background check (within acceptable standards).
