Primary Responsibilities

Guest Production Support:

Research to determine potential guests that are appropriate for our programming.

Contact and arrange for guests to interview and verify availability.

Develop briefing materials for anchors and producers to facilitate smooth interviews.

Give pre-interview information and direction to guests to provide a smooth experience.

Provide light research and fact-checking support to ensure accurate reporting.

Support the production team with a range of tasks as required.

Social Media Support:

Help to develop and curate social media content across a range of platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Keep an eye on social media trends and spot opportunities for Cheddar content engagement.

Work with the digital team to create engaging multimedia content.

Monitor and analyze social media engagement to inform content strategy refinement.

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated experience as a Production Assistant or in a related media field, preferably in a news or digital content setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Multitasking ability in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to properly prioritize tasks.

Knowledge of social media platforms and content scheduling software.

Basic video editing knowledge a plus.

Compensation
