Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer (FSE) to support our service team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, installing, and fault-finding radiometer analyzers to provide top performance to our customers.
This is a position within the Customer Support organization and reports to the Service and ITS Manager. If you prefer to work in high-speed, complex situations and desire to assist in the creation of a world-class service company, we invite you to submit an application.
Key Responsibilities:
Your role as a Field Service Engineer will include:
You will diagnose, install, service, and maintain radiometer analyzers locally, ensuring that all equipment and instruments are in good working condition and properly calibrated for deployment. In addition, you will respond to service calls promptly, addressing technical issues and resolving them to the customer’s satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance:
You will prepare and submit regulatory field action notices and technical updates within the given time limit. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and be careful about accuracy and detail to ensure high standards of service quality.
Installation and Customer Training:
You will set up radiometer analyzers and instruct customers how to use the equipment properly. You will prepare instructional materials, present sessions, and make certain customers know how to enhance equipment performance.
Spare Parts and Inventory Management:
You will maintain control of spare parts cycle times. This covers observing and reporting on parts used when servicing, sustaining part inventory levels, and maintaining proper stocking levels.
Cybersecurity and IT Maintenance:
You will verify that equipment meets cybersecurity standards and update operating systems. You will resolve IT issues, especially with Windows 7/10/11 equipment.
Connectivity and System Configuration:
You will set up device IP addresses and activate connectivity to middleware or LIS/HIS/EMR systems. You will also conduct connectivity testing to ensure the integration of devices into the customer’s network and diagnostic system.
Compliance with Company Policies
You will always follow Radiometer’s rules, regulations, guidelines, and policies. You will be expected to be professional and maintain service delivery at Radiometer’s high quality standards.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, you should possess these qualifications:
Education:
You should have a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical/electromechanical engineering, electronic engineering, or equivalent.
Experience:
You should have at least 3-5 years of experience as a field service engineer for medical and POC devices/diagnostic healthcare. In addition to this, you should have good exposure to IT system upgrades, connectivity installation, networking, and troubleshooting.
To be successful in this position, you need to have good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills so that you can effectively communicate technical issues to customers. You also need to be able to handle customer complaints, remote and on-site troubleshooting, and support and training as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
The following are not necessary but preferable: SQL database, Java, Merit, Microsoft Office, and CRM software experience. Additional medical device, IT system, or troubleshooting qualifications are a bonus.
