We require a Technical Writer to be part of our organization. The candidate will be tasked with reading, revising, and verifying technical manuals in order to verify that operational and maintenance procedures coincide with the most current source data. A keen eye for detail, technical knowledge, and the capability to write clear and concise documents are necessary.

Principal Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, revise, and update technical documents with accuracy and clarity.

Collect and integrate information and data from numerous sources, such as the Program Office, customers, and end users. Additionally, incorporate insights from other departments to ensure comprehensive understanding.

Create high-quality documentation with little or no guidance, such that it is logical, simple to follow, and meets appropriate standards, style guides, and guidelines.

Put documents into formats consistent with approved standard operating procedures.

Ensure that all technical documentation is satisfactory to both customers and end users by including feedback and making appropriate changes.

Join reviews, audits, and meetings, offering useful input on document content and structure.

Keep well-organized files and document statistics, ensuring smooth workflow and best practices compliance.

Ensure that all technical documentation is complete and accurate.

Find areas for improvement in current documentation and suggest solutions to enhance clarity and usability.

Required Experience:

0-2 years of technical writing or relevant experience.

Skills in Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Familiarity with other Microsoft applications, e.g., Teams, Project, Excel, Visio.

Familiarity with desktop publishing tools and formatting styles.

Experience revising technical reports for format, accuracy, readability, consistency, and compliance with government standards.

Independent and cooperative work in a team setting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to detect and fix problems in technical documentation.

Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to present intricate technical information in an easy-to-understand fashion.

Knowledge of government or defense-specific technical documentation is a bonus.

Educational Qualifications:

An associate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., technical writing, communications, engineering, or information technology) is preferred. Furthermore, additional certification or training in technical writing, editing, or document management is regarded as a bonus.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Candidate must be capable of receiving and holding a Secret security clearance.
