Reports to: Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Production Workers to add to our staff at our Scottsburg, Indiana, location. Your responsibilities in this position will be performing work in a steel fabrication factory, specifically in the fabrication and assembly of cylindrical ammunition containers. The majority of entry-level positions will be assigned to the cylindrical ammunition container assembly line, but workers could also be assigned other positions within the factory depending on business requirements and skill acquisition.

The successful candidate will possess good attention to detail, the capacity to adhere to safety procedures, and a desire to learn the different tasks required in container production. No experience is necessary, but experience in a manufacturing or production setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Production line workers at Conco have an important part in the successful production and assembly of quality ammunition containers. The tasks include, but are not limited to:

Executing different container and cover assembly processes, including leak testing, setting on the conveyor line, pulling off the conveyor, and attaching covers onto containers.

Working equipment like resistance welders, air presses, rolling machines, and stenciling machines following specific written directions.

Ensuring accurate part alignment during pressing and adjusting for slight deviation to ensure accuracy in container construction.

Conducting regular quality inspection, including weld pull tests, to verify all products conform to industry standards and Conco quality standards.

Informing the Production Supervisor of material flaws, equipment failures, or production problems promptly.

Ensure a clean and tidy work station, following all company safety policies and OSHA regulation requirements.

Adheres to standard procedures for modification of containers, labeling, internal packaging installation, and final assembly.

Provides support in maintaining material flow and supports other production duties as delegated by supervisor.

Adheres to all safety protocols and uses personal protective equipment (PPE) if needed.

Meets training and skill development programs for improved job performance and career growth opportunities.
